How is 100% of my zakat actually distributed?

We operate on two completely separate streams. Zakat is restricted and goes only to eligible recipients. Our operations are funded by an admin fee paid by the startups hiring through our network. Not a single dirham of your zakat touches our costs.

How do you verify zakat eligibility?

Our partner network verifies eligibility on the ground. We work with trusted organizations in each country who confirm recipients are Muslim and below nisab before any disbursement takes place.

Is receiving a salary considered zakat?

Yes. Zakat can be given as cash, and recipients use it however they need. The remote role is a separate opportunity we offer willing recipients. The zakat itself is a direct transfer, not conditional on employment.

Does accepting a job cancel someone's zakat eligibility?

Once a recipient is earning above nisab, they graduate out of the fund naturally. Until then, they remain eligible. The goal of the job placement is to help them reach that point.

Who are the eligible recipients of this zakat?

We focus on Muslims in Palestine, Syria, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. Recipients are verified to be below nisab by our partner organizations in each country.

Can I give my zakat through my employer?

If your employer uses Benevity, you can search FridayHQ, mark your gift as zakat, and submit for corporate match. Your employer may match it, effectively doubling the impact without affecting the zakat's validity.

What if a recipient does not want a remote job?

Participation in the job placement program is completely voluntary. Recipients who only need financial support receive their zakat disbursement with no conditions attached.
